Terms of Service

1. The Service

NoteGist converts meeting recordings and notes into transcripts, AI-generated summaries, decisions, action items, and related productivity features. AI output can contain mistakes — always review important results before relying on them.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be legally able to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.

3. Subscriptions & billing

• Paid plans (Basic, Pro) renew automatically each month until cancelled.
• Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd / Paddle Payments Ltd), which handles checkout, billing, and applicable taxes. Purchases in the Philippines may alternatively be processed via local payment providers.
• You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.
• Prices may change; we will notify you before a change affects your renewal.
• Each plan includes usage limits (e.g. monthly transcription minutes) shown on the pricing page; fair-use limits protect the service from abuse.

4. Acceptable use

• Only record people where you have the legal right and any required consent to do so.
• No unlawful, infringing, or abusive content; no attempts to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.
• No reselling or automated bulk use outside plan limits without our written consent.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the audio and text you upload. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service (storing, transcribing, and processing your content with the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Notice). We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.

6. Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Transcripts and AI output may be inaccurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with notice where practicable. On termination your data is deleted per the retention rules in the Privacy Notice.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
